Recall is an AI feature of Microsoft, now we can try the feature on Qualcomm-powered Copilot+ laptops. The feature is released in beta version so we can get it from Windows Insider Program.
Recall is one of Microsoft’s most awaited new AI-powered tools. It allows us to get back into past activities on our PC. Periodically it captures snapshots of our screen and creates a searchable timeline of our interactions with various applications and documents. We can make queries to reach back and engage with previous contents (documents, images, messages, email, websites).
Recall continuously runs in the background and recording our screen activities. These records are stored in our PC/Laptop. And the records are encrypted using BitLocker or Device Encryption. Users have control over their data and have option to view, delete or exclude specific applications and website from being recorded. It does not record activities in private browsing modes.
